About the Farm

Angel Miguel Gomez Albaunza

The Huila region is known for producing not only the most coffee of any region in Colombia, it also produces some of the highest quality coffee. The region has volcanic soil and sits between the Central and Eastern ranges of the Andes. The coffee grown in this region tend to be sweet with citrus profiles. In this case our lot from Finca Calamar presents us with sweet lemon, dark chocolate and some almond. It’s not overly complex but perfect in its presentation of sweetness and acidity. This is a versatile coffee good for drip, pour over and espresso.
